These 1" belts are slightly dressier than the 1.5" belts, although I would still consider them to be casual belts with their matte finish and the lightly burnished edges. We make them from one solid piece of leather, so you don't have to worry about anything coming apart over the years.
Belt Sizing
For best fit, choose the pant size that comfortably fits your waist. Please do not use a belt sizing method that you have used with other belt makers. Going off your actual pant size, I aim for you to be able to use the center hole on the belt allowing you to fluctuate plus or minus 2 inches. If the size isn't quite right when you receive it, please send it back to me right away. It's no problem at all to exchange an unworn belt for a different size. I'm also happy to add holes in either direction or cut some of the tail off if your belt ever needs adjustments.
Note about Extra Large Belts
As long as I have a new piece of leather on hand, making belts longer than 42" is no problem. Just reply to the email confirmation after you place your order with your pant size and any other specifics (i.e. extra holes to be added).
Belt Packaging
Your belt will be packaged in a small drawstring bag. We use the scraps from our tool-bag-style bags to make these in either striped denim or canvas.
Belts Made While You Wait
Come by the shop, and have a belt made on the spot for you. Choose your pant size, leather color, and buckle style, and we will put your belt together in a minute or two. I normally use solid brass rivets, but I also have chicago screws or snaps if you have multiple buckles you'd like to be able to change out.
(*We keep pant size 28-42 in stock at the shop in the four colors. Longer belts will take us a week to make.)
