The Tool Bag Briefcase is designed to hold a small laptop sitting vertically, a standard sized folder, plus a few small items. This is not meant to be that huge "throw it all in there" briefcase. Whether you grab it by the hand sewn handles or shoulder strap, carrying the Tool Bag Briefcase is an experience you'll love. The laptop in the photo is a 2017 13" MacBook Pro. Some of the super old 13" MacBooks may be slightly too large for the sleeve, but the most 13" MacBooks fit just fine.
