HANDCRAFTED IN NORFOLK, VIRGINIA
Made from the sail off an old racing sailboat named "Insatiable". The most notable race the boat won was the "Chicago - Mackinac Cup" in 1989. The owners gave me the sail in hopes that it could go to good use and stay out of the landfill as they upgraded to more high-tech sails.
Since this bag is made from recycled materials, there will likely be errant threads that will need to be snipped off occasionally. This is purely cosmetic--I made the bag from a reinforced section of the sail that is made up of many layers of stacked sailcloth. The material is extremely durable and lightweight.
The Weekender was inspired by the old tool bag I found in the back corner of my parents' shed. It is the perfect size for a weekend trip. It accommodates an extra pair of shoes plus a few days of clothes and still fits in the overhead bins on the small regional airplanes. Just wait until you walk out the jet bridge past everyone waiting for their dinky roller bags that had to get checked underneath the plane and you'll remember why you chose grit over rolling convenience.

Inspiration Bag
This is the old mason's bag I found in the back of my parents' shed growing up that inspired my line of "Tool-Bag-Style" bags. I loved the way it opened, and I thought with a few added details it would be a really fun bag to carry.
-
Handsewn Detailing
We hand-stitch the leather handles and the leather straps with a needle and thread to make them extra durable.
-
Completely Made In House
I even fabricate the metal frames for the bag opening. It started out of necessity but later allowed me to make my bags at any size.

Full-Grain Leather
The strongest part of the leather is just below the hair on the cow. This part of the leather also has the most character. It's definitely my favorite to use.
